Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on light to heavy‑duty trucks, manage parts and tools, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience; ASE certifications are preferred and valid DOT medical/DQFs may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing DOT inspections and PM on heavy/medium vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose advanced mechanical/electrical issues in field/mobile settings.
• Strong communication with customers and team to resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and document findings; road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts and tools on service truck; document RO details in TRAIT app.
