Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems, road test vehicles, and work with management to approve repairs and obtain parts.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and DOT/FMCSA compliance, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service. Training and tools are provided in a dynamic mobile environment.

Qualifications

Must have at least a HS diploma or GED; alternative combos with related credentials acceptable.
Ability to perform physically demanding field work and drive safely.
Follows DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and repairs in mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
Maintain service truck and inventory, document work with RO using company device.
Coordinate with management for approvals and purchase orders.
