Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Lowell, MA to perform DOT and preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will handle electrical, cooling, diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have ASE T8 and 608/609 certifications, 3+ years in related field, and will operate with independence on service trucks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent
• 3 years of related field experience; or 5 years in related field
• 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment
• OEM training and certifications preferred
• Must complete DOT/FMCSA pre-employment checks and DOT physical if required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle service truck operations
• Document work with RO via TRAIT app and iOS device
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety/compliance
