Job summary

Cox Fleet in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and document findings on the TRAIT app while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires strong tool knowledge, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to work independently on scheduled and unscheduled service calls.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in field or 5+ years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• ASE certifications preferred; DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Must supply hand tools necessary for required job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light–heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems, and engines.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and company service truck usage; document RO in TRAIT app.
