Job summary

Cox Fleet in New Orleans, LA, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment.

The role requires diagnosing electrical, braking and engine systems while maintaining the service truck and parts inventory. You must have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in related work (or 5 years experience), along with ASE T8 eligibility within 18 months and a valid DOT background/medical review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years in a related field, or 5 years of experience.
• Ability to supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months and DOT background/medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems with handheld tools and diagnostic gear.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs using company systems on a mobile service truck.
