Cox Fleet, the mobile fleet maintenance arm of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. This role conducts DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs across light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and maintain a service truck while ensuring safety and compliance. We offer a 5,000 USD new hire bonus, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities to advance technical skills

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE certification T6 within 18 months.
• ASE certification for T8 (PMI) within 18 months is recommended.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining or a DOT physical if <=4 months.

Aufgaben

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, and diesel systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using handheld test instruments and pressure gauges.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
• Operate and maintain the company service vehicle, conducting safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with management and support teams to obtain approvals on repair estimates and PO numbers.
