Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and various light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, road test vehicles, and document findings via the TRAIT app while maintaining the service truck and inventory.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and independent scheduling with strong communication to clients and work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related experience preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical requirements to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and test electrical, cooling, engine, transmission and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain service truck and part inventory; document RO findings using TRAIT app.
