Cox Fleet, a leader in on-site mobile maintenance, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to service light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles across the country. The role involves performing PMs, inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field setting, using diagnostic tools and the TRAIT app to document work and parts used.

You'll work independently on service trucks, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA/EPA regulations while maintaining high productivity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications and DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with mobile/field service and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety, health and environmental policies.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair truck equipment including electrical/ braking, cooling systems, engine electronics, transmissions and more.
• Inspect, test and diagnose malfunctions using test instruments; road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company-issued service truck; perform pre/post-trip safety inspections.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on estimates and discuss RO findings notes.
• Comply with all DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations; maintain a high level of productivity.
