Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Cheyenne, WY to perform DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and work under supervision to expand advanced diagnostics skills.

Responsibilities include maintaining the service truck, logging RO data with TRAIT, and complying with DOT and safety policies; strong communication with clients and management is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 3 years related experience or 5 years alternate.
• Own set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background/dOT physical
• Valid driver’s license; must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and other truck systems; engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
• Inspect, test and road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Document work on Repair Orders using TRAIT app and manage parts inventory as needed.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety, health and environmental policy compliance.
