Job summary

Cox Fleet is actively seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and a range of repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, cooling, and engine systems, test components, and complete work orders with precision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen for malfunctions using handheld test instruments and gauges.
• Document work, order parts, and communicate findings and estimates to management and customers.
