Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of trucks in a field setting. You will diagnose mechanical issues, order parts, and ensure work is completed efficiently with a focus on safety and quality.

Eligible candidates typically have a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience, including refrigerated equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years in fleet maintenance or 5 years in related field.
• 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own hand tools required.
• DOT/FMCSA background check & DOT physical compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems using proper tools and test instruments.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain service truck and inventory; document work orders and RO details via TRAIT app on iOS device.
