Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service and repair trucks at customer sites and in the field. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs with a focus on safety, reliability, and quick turnaround.

As part of a nationwide fleet service team, you will coordinate with customers, manage parts and documentation, and uphold DOT/FMCSA regulations while maintaining the company’s service truck and tools for productive daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience, or relevant degrees/certifications.
• Own set of hand tools to perform job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance; pass pre-employment DOT background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines and related systems.
• Document work, upload photos, and complete DOT forms promptly using TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck, perform safety checks, and coordinate with clients on estimates and approvals.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT safety compliance.
