Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers, road-test vehicles, and document findings through the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma/GED (or equivalent), 3–5 years in related field, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid CDL/driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience (or 5 years)
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• DOT pre-employment background screen and DOT physical required
• DOT medical card may substitute if >4 months remaining
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operations
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain DL

Responsabilités

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, engine and related components
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs
• Manage parts inventory and service truck; coordinate with vendors
• Document findings using TRAIT app on an iOS device and upload RO photos
