Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PM inspections and light-to-heavy repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking and engine systems, manage parts, and document findings via TRAIT on an iOS device.

Requirements include HS diploma/GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, DOT pre-employment checks, and a valid driver’s license. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ related experience or 5 years alternative.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory pre-employment checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM inspections, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and road test vehicles as needed.
• Manage parts inventory and operate service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
