Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on a range of trucks in a mobile/field setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems; diagnose issues.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; use handheld testers and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory for service trucks and reconcile periodically.
• Maintain and operate company service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
