Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. You’ll often lead on-site repairs and communicate with clients to ensure service quality.

The role requires 3+ years in a related field, refrigeration experience, and DOT/FMCSA readiness. You will document work and maintain safety standards while supporting nationwide fleet services.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in related field or equivalent
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment requirements and DOT medical card or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy trucks in mobile/field setting
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission and related systems
• Test, road test, and verify repair quality on vehicles
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory; obtain parts as needed
• Document findings and parts used in the TRAIT app with photos
• Comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and company policies
