Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and advanced repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose complex mechanical/electrical issues, manage parts and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, 3+ years with refrigerated equipment, and valid tools; ASE certifications preferred. Company benefits, weekly pay, and growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus related field experience; or alternative degree/cert combo.
• Minimum 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment and heavy trucks.
• Must supply hand tools and be able to pass DOT pre-employment checks.
• A DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs and repairs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, cooling and drivetrain systems; conduct tests.
• Document work and parts used on RO via company TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Coordinate with management for estimates, approvals and PO numbers.
• Maintain company vehicle, safety checks, and pre/post‑trip inspections.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations; uphold safety standards.
