Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform PM, inspections, and repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems on trucks and document findings using the TRAIT app.

Requirements include HS diploma/GED with 3+ years in related field (or 5 years’ experience) and 3+ years with refrigerated equipment. Valid DOT-ready credentials and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher and 3 years in related field (or 5 years’ experience).
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply hand tools; DOT regulations apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on light to heavy trucks.
• Inspect, test, and document findings; use tablets or iOS devices for RO uploads.
• Obtain parts from local and national vendors; communicate estimates with management.
• Maintain a company service truck and perform pre-/post-trip safety inspections.
