Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on a fleet of trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment. You will be responsible for electrical, braking, cooling and engine system repairs, and must maintain accurate records using our TRAIT app.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field, at least 3 years with refrigerated equipment, and possess basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools; supply as needed.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service truck; document RO photos and notes.
• Maintain documentation in the TRAIT app and ensure compliance with safety policies.
