Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electric, hydraulic and engine systems, road test vehicles, and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and 3+ years of diesel experience, possess hand tools, and can work independently while coordinating with customers and dispatch.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience.
• 3+ years in diesel/heavy-vehicle maintenance preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations familiarity and DOT medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test, road test, and document findings with RO entries via company app.
