Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and more, while documenting work via an iOS device using TRAIT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 3 years' related field experience (or 5 years alternative).
• Must possess a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
• Inspect and test equipment using handheld devices and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and schedule daily work independently.
• Complete DOT forms and document findings in RO via TRAIT app.
