Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose, test, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, with responsibility for scheduling and dispatch aligned to customer needs.

Candidates must have a HS diploma/GED and tools, plus DOT/ASE compliance. This role offers an on-site work model, driver’s license requirements, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and 3 years related experience.
• Must possess hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• At least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on mobile fleets.
• Repair electrical, brakes, cooling, engines and transmissions.
• Diagnose and road-test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck.
• Document work in RO using TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
