Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance for trucks, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The role requires performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow-up repairs in a field/mobile setting.

You will diagnose various systems, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings using a TRAIT app. Applicants should have a HS diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ experience in related fields.

Qualifications

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on light, medium and heavy trucks in field/mobile environments.
• Conduct DOT inspections and follow-up repairs with accuracy and safety compliance.
• Diagnose and repair truck systems including electrical, brakes, cooling, engine and drivetrain.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs in mobile environment.
• Diagnose faults and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document findings using company tools and iOS TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch for approvals and RO notes.
