Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles. This role operates in a mobile/field setting, requires tools, and follows DOT regulations.

The technician will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, test drives, manage parts, and document findings in the TRAIT app. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 3 years of related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Test and road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle; update Repair Orders.
