Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PM inspections, DOT inspections, and light to mid repairs in a mobile/field environment in Alvin, TX. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, manage parts and maintain the service truck, while meeting safety and DOT requirements.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver's license, and a strong tool set. 21+ and DOT medical card requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/diagnostic systems and mechanical components.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck.
