Job summary

Cox Fleet in Nashville, TN is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. The role requires maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles, accurate documentation, and independent scheduling.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 12pm–8:30pm with some weekend work as needed. ASE T8 is required within 18 months, plus a valid DOT medical card and a strong safety ethic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE T8 certification within 18 months preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment DOT checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on mobile/field jobs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems on trucks.
• Operate and document repairs using company iOS devices and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and organize parts on the service vehicle and manage uploads to RO forms.
