Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, inspections, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting around Clarksville, TN. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic and engine systems, road-test vehicles, and maintain the service truck and safety standards.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years in related field; or 5 years of related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulations and background checks per FMCSA requirements.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license and DOT medical card as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems, and engine components.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain service truck and daily safety checks; manage parts inventory.
