Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II for a DOT management role. This position offers flexible work options and 100% travel in a mobile/field setting. Expect hourly pay and opportunities for additional compensation based on performance.

Responsibilities include performing PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles, with focus on diesel systems. Safety and regulatory compliance are a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years in a related field or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT regulations experience and safety compliance required.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for duties.
• ASE certifications are preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel truck equipment including electrical, brakes, cooling and drive systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and company service truck; document RO with TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
