Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II for a field/mobile role. You will perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of trucks, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and conduct road tests to ensure proper operation.

This position offers 100% travel, a remote-work option with residency in the specified region, and a pay range of $29.38–$44.09 per hour with potential bonuses and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light to heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and functionality.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs using RO records.
