Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes DOT compliance, PMs, and hands-on service across light to heavy trucks.

The technician will manage parts on the service truck, document work with the TRAIT app, and liaise with customers to meet repair expectations, all while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years related field experience or alternative HS diploma with 3 years experience.
• ASE certification related to DOT/PMI within 18 months is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and DOT forms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair truck equipment including electrical, cooling, braking, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using standard tools.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
