Job summary

Cox Automotive, through Cox Fleet, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical and engine systems and test drive to ensure proper operation.

You’ll maintain the service truck, manage parts and document findings in the TRAIT system, adhering to safety and DOT guidelines. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical/engine systems
• Ability to work in mobile/field environment
• Safety and DOT compliance enforced

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck resources.
• Document work performed and upload RO details using company tools.
