Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and fix electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems, test vehicles, and maintain service trucks while documenting findings on RO forms using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid DOT background and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years in a related field or 5 years experience.
• Must possess hand tools suitable for maintenance tasks.
• Aim to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Capable of passing a DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and repairs on mobile/field assignments.
• Diagnose, repair and test electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Document work, upload RO findings via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory and safety checks.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and estimates.
