Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for a Las Vegas, NV area role. The position involves DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment, with diagnostics across electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.

Candidate will perform tests, document findings via the TRAIT app, and manage parts on the service truck. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is required; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years in related field preferred or alternative combo.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Valid DOT regulations knowledge and safety compliance.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Record work in RO and upload photos via TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and safety inspections.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and parts procurement.
