Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and repair electrical, brake and engine systems, document work on RO, and communicate with customers and management to ensure timely service.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and around 3 years of related experience; you must work independently while maintaining safety compliance and productivity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related field experience.
• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test and diagnose faults using handheld tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain parts inventory and company service truck, and complete RO documentation.
