Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling systems and perform road tests, with duties documented via our TRAIT app and governed by OSHA and DOT rules.

We require HS diploma or equivalent, 3 years in related field, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience.
• Possess and provide a set of hand tools required for duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Meet DOT/FMCSA pre-employment requirements including background and medical screening.
• 21+ years old with valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain a CDL-like driving record.
• Comply with safety, health and environmental policies while performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on various vehicle classes in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems; perform road tests as needed.
• Document work on RO via iOS device using TRAIT app; obtain approvals for repair estimates.
