Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, road test vehicles, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings in our TRAIT app. A valid DOT medical card and 21+ years old are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience (or 5 years’ experience).
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools for required duties.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulation familiarity; pass pre-employment screening.
• DOT medical card; ability to obtain if not current.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs; document RO findings via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck; obtain needed parts.
• Communicate repair estimates and approvals with management.
• Comply with OSHA/EPA/DOT safety standards.
