Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for its fleet operations in New York. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment, using diagnostic tools and iOS apps to document work.

The role requires 3 years’ related experience or a similar education path, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years' related field experience or an equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and DOT inspections.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical required or possible.
• Must have valid driver’s license and state residency.
• ASE T8 certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• Familiar with safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Willingness to work in a mobile/field environment.
• Ability to read and complete DOT forms and RO documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test drive to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Handle parts inventory and document RO in TRAIT app on iOS.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
