Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for on-site field work in the San Diego area. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs using diesel diagnostics and a range of tools.

The role requires experience with electrical, braking, cooling systems, and fuel systems, plus the ability to manage a service truck, parts inventory, and documentation via company apps.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field; or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment requirements and DOT medical card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy trucks in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations; document work via RO and TRAIT app.
