Job summary

Fleet Services By Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment.

Under supervision of a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician, you will diagnose complex issues, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings per company standards while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience or 5 years in a related field.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Reliable driver with a valid license and ability to obtain DOT medical card if needed.
• Ability to pass DOT background screening and DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and required repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Document work performed with RO photos and notes using company tools.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
