Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic work in a mobile/heavy-duty field setting across various vehicle types.

The role requires HS diploma, 3 years of related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and adherence to DOT safety standards. Tools and a company vehicle are provided to support on-site repairs nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' related field experience (or equivalent).
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Follows DOT/Department of Transportation regulations and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems in mobile field setting.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle/service truck compliance.
• Document work using company tools and update repair orders.
