Job summary

Cox Fleet in Providence, RI seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, drive-test vehicles, and document findings using company apps. Safety and compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT medical/physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems on various trucks.
• Inspect, test and road test to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Document RO findings, parts used, photos, and estimates via iOS device and TRAIT app.
