Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is actively hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes diagnostics, safe truck operations, and independent schedule management.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma/GED and 3+ years in related field, with ASE or OEM certifications preferred. Benefits include weekly pay, safety gear reimbursement, and company-provided training to advance careers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or higher with related field experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in related field; DOT/FMCSA compliance exposure preferred.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics and driveline systems.
• Inspect and test vehicles; road test to verify proper operation after service.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck and on-site safety checks.
• Document work and findings using iOS device and TRAIT app; complete DOT forms timely.
