Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems, manage parts and service truck operations, and document findings via an iOS device using TRAIT.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED with related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license with DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicle classes in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Manage parts inventory and operate a company service truck safely.
• Document work performed using the TRAIT app and upload RO data.
