Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on a mobile fleet. You will work in a field environment and on-site at client locations, handling parts, safety checks, and daily documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, tool ownership, and the ability to pass a DOT background check. ASE certifications are preferred, with opportunities for career growth and company benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with up to 2 years in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA training and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Independently manage parts inventory and operate company service truck.
• Maintain and operate service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide information or assistance.
