Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs on trucks and trailers in a field/mobile setting, using specialized diagnostic tools and maintaining service records.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED with related experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card. Strong safety discipline and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years of related field experience (or 5 years acceptable).
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and physical as required by FMCSA.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Inspect and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, and engine components.
• Diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers and diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies; document RO details in TRAIT app.
