Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work independently with company-provided tools and a service truck, documenting work and communicating with clients to meet repairs efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and ASE T8 certification (T4 preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge and ability to complete DOT forms.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required; T4 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT medical/ background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and light repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Handle vehicle electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission components.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work in RO system via iOS device and TRAIT app.
