Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer communication, with a focus on learning advanced diesel skills under supervision.

The position offers hourly pay in the $20.10–$30.10 range, a $3,000 new hire bonus (50% at 30 days, 50% at 180 days), and opportunities for additional incentives based on location and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years’ related experience.
• Must supply hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• OEM training and ASE certifications preferred or obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs and light repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle; conduct safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Manage parts inventory and use Repair Orders in TRAIT app.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide status on repairs.
• Obtain parts from vendors and approve repair estimates with management.
