Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will assist senior technicians and manage parts on a company truck while maintaining safety standards and accurate paperwork.

Requires DOT screening, valid CDL/driver's license, and tools. A $5,000 new hire bonus is offered and remote work is possible with residency in the specified area. Training and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• DOT regulations compliance training and passing required.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic mechanical tasks.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on mobile vehicles across a field environment.
• Conduct minor repairs and diagnostics as directed by senior technicians.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Document work performed and upload RO details using TRAIT on iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety checks and daily inspections.
