Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support our clients’ fleets by performing on-site maintenance and service calls. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components on heavy trucks at customer locations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment to company standards.
• Perform basic truck maintenance, inspect and document as assigned.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service and flexible schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks.
• Read job orders, diagnose, and plan work procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace injectors, pistons, bearings, transmissions, etc.
• Document work in the company system and complete paperwork promptly.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster relations.
• Advise customers on repairs to be performed in next 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply it on the job.
