Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. The role includes diagnostic work, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs across a nationwide service footprint.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, valid driver’s license, and tools. A $3000 new hire bonus is offered with milestone payouts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• ASE T8 certification or ability to obtain within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Test, inspect, and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Manage parts and supplies; document work Orders on iOS TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for approvals on estimates and RO findings.
